Apprenticeship Requirements

Length of Program:

The apprenticeship program spans approximately four years with 6,000 hours on both “on-the-job” and classroom training.

Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age and possess High School Diploma or GED Must be US citizen or legally emigrated alien living in Michigan Live in the geographical area as specified for each individual training program conducted by their local Applicants are expected to possess good reading and math skills, good mechanical skills and good hand-eye coordination Must be physically fit and pass a drug test, as well as pass an aptitude test and a series of interviews They must also complete a two-week pre-apprenticeship program covering safety and preventative maintenance while also being provided a general industry overview
