On Tuesday, May 7th, the Wayland Carpenters & Millwrights will be hosting a career fair.
From 8 am to 10 am interested individuals can head to the training center to learn more about a potential career as a carpenter or millwright.
Within a carpentry career, one can expect to learn skills applicable to a wide variety of projects. From tiling to insulation, carpentry gives workers
the opportunity to complete all kinds of construction projects. Millwrights complete projects within the industrial construction industry. They
use a variety of tools to repair and maintain industrial machinery.
By obtaining a high school diploma or GED, passing a basic math test, one is eligible to complete an apprenticeship program. The program schedule is
very doable, four years long with a class one day every two weeks.
A job within the skilled trades is an excellent opportunity for one to create a stable career for themselves with great job benefits. For learn about
a job as a carpenter or millwright, head over to the career fair in May.
